Today marks the beginning of the Lunar New Year, and as we enter the Year of the Wood Dragon, I find myself reflecting on the rare alignment of symbolism and market reality. In the Chinese zodiac, the Wood Dragon is a symbol of growth, vitality, and visionary leadership. For a CEO and a chemist, this represents the catalyst phase—where ideas finally gain the structural integrity to scale.
The Chemistry of Growth
In my previous ventures, I’ve seen how Wood energy in business isn’t just about expansion; it’s about sustainability and flexibility. Like a tree, a company must be deeply rooted in data but flexible enough to bend with the winds of technological disruption. The Dragon, meanwhile, provides the fire of ambition.
As I look at the global markets today, we are at a point of high-energy transition. We are moving from the speculative hype of 2023 into a year of material execution.
A Vision for Wellness: Introducing “Orange”
It is in this spirit of auspicious beginnings that I am thrilled to officially announce my newest enterprise: Orange.
At Orange, we are dedicated to a singular mission: The democratization of elite wellness. We believe that health shouldn’t be a reactive fix when things go wrong, but a proactive, data-driven mastery of one’s own physiology.
Our flagship project—Alwaring—is the culmination of years of chemical and physiological research. It is a wearable designed to be as vital as the Wood Dragon itself. By monitoring your metabolic signatures and recovery cycles, Orange provides a precision lens through which you can view your own health. We aren’t just selling a ring; we are promoting a lifestyle of optimized vitality.
An Auspicious Outlook
The Dragon is the only mythical creature in the zodiac, representing that which is extraordinary. This year, I challenge our partners, our competitors, and our future users to pursue the extraordinary. Whether you are scaling a startup or optimizing your own heart rate variability, let the energy of this year propel you upward.
To all our friends and colleagues across the globe: Gong Xi Fa Cai. May the Year of the Wood Dragon bring you robust health, steady growth, and the courage to breathe fire into your most ambitious dreams.
